Transporting oversized cargo is always a task with an asterisk. Such cargo does not fit into a transport container, and sometimes even onto a railway platform; it is difficult to load and secure it to ensure transportation safety. However, Tis Logistic specialists often encounter such cargo. Everything is transported: tractors, helicopters, combines and giant drilling rigs.

One of the most difficult transportations was the transportation of arthropod, a giant robotic underwater machine for drilling wells on the ocean floor. A device weighing more than 60 tons cannot be transported either by rail or by air. Not every crane can handle such a load. The arthropod was loaded on board a transport ship in Arkhangelsk, after which it had a long journey to Sakhalin. In Vladivostok, the apparatus was reloaded from one ship to another directly at sea, since a crane with the required lifting capacity was not found in Korsakov, Sakhalin.

The arthropod was successfully delivered to its destination to complete its engineering tasks. After such transportation, transporting combines or drilling machines weighing several tons does not present any problems!
