TIS LOGISTICS helped a client bring back cars purchased in China to Vladivostok after a series of unsuccessful attempts by other customs agents

In May, our manager received an unusual request: “Can you unload a container from China in Vladivostok?”

The story began back in late 2024, when a customer purchased two Honda cars in China. The Chinese partner loaded them into a 40-foot container and shipped them to Vladivostok. The shipment arrived in early January 2025, but the process came to a standstill due to complications with the customs clearance of the cars.

The first customs agent was unable to resolve the issue. The second recommended returning the vehicles to China to have the documents reissued; however, the current freight forwarder was unable to process the re-export.

At this stage, TIS Logistics took over the shipment:

• it processed the re-export in China,
• delivered the container back to Vladivostok,
• handled customs clearance,
• and delivered the vehicles to the customer in August 2025.

Unfortunately, due to errors and unprofessional conduct on the part of previous representatives, the client incurred losses of approximately 1.5 million rubles (storage costs, demurrage, re-freight charges, etc.).
